Poolside at Presidential Meadows

A few weeks ago we took Mac to the pool in our neighborhood. Jimmy had taken him before but this was my first time to be able to join them and act as the offical photographer.

Look who seriously LOVES the water...

How much fun is this little guy having!!

And his Dad loves the pool too and really enjoys taking Mac. They are so cute in the water! See if I was in the water I couldn't take these cute pictures. (Did I mention I am not a water fan?)

Mac loves to go to the side of the pool.

Crawl out.

Turn around and scooch to the edge.

And jump into Dad's arms! He does this over and over and over and just laughs the whole time.

Fun in the splash pool!

Mac-pressions

Braveheart..."Every man dies, not every man really lives".

WWE SuperStar... Caaannn Yoouuuuu Smmeelllll What Tha Mac. Is. Cook'nnnnn!!

(Sorry to those who have not had the pleasure of watching sports entertainment television. You may not understand the reference to my fav wrestler, The Rock, who's tagline is "Can You Smell What The Rock Is Cook'n" and would then finish you off with his trademark move "The People's Elbow" but in this case I guess it would be The People's Chair?? ha!)

Like Pops, Like Grandson

My Dad is a mechanic. I think someone else in the family may be exploring the possibilities of that field too.

Um, Mom?

Have you seen my 3/16 socket wrench?

Sidewalk Chalk

I love Target. I really love the dollar spot. I always have to wander through just to see if there might be something I can't live without and usually I find something. This time it was $1 for a bucket of sidewalk chalk. Mac was thrilled and couldn't wait to get home to play.

He really liked the chalk so he wrote me a nice chalk note...

It's also fun to color on your hands and then clap them together.

Chalk can also be used to decorate your plastic slide, face, or hair.

After we had sufficently colored all over the porch he decided he wanted to slide and he did it all by himself!

We had so much fun playing outside and I am really glad I let him play in just his diaper. He was covered, head to toe, in chalk!

Father's Day 2011

This year for Father's Day we went to Max's Wine Dive. They serve gourmet comfort food and they serve it well.

(The pictures are from my phone camera because, of course, I forgot the point and shoot.)

Jimmy and Mac were deciding what to have. It's a tough choice but you can't go wrong I promise.

Mac was swirling his water... It was too funny!

I had the 1942 State Fair Dawg...YUM! I swore that I would get something other than the Fried Egg Sandwich this time around.

Jimmy went with the Shrimp and Grits. Oh man it was soooo goood! (Obviously since I couldn't get a picture before we dove into it!)

For dessert we had the Half and Half... I think the picture speaks for itself.

Mac loved it!

Here are the before church pictures. Mac was a little more cooperative in the picture taking for Father's Day than he was for Mother's Day. I am trying to not let my feelings be hurt... haha.

Happy Father's Day to a Super Dad!

Fun With Markers

Just when you think you have caught up. Everything is under control. You check your camera and there are pictures hiding in there that have not been uploaded. These picuters are from May 13th but still just as cute.

Mac loves to color. He brings home the best drawings I have ever seen and they make me smile everytime. So much so that I have hung picture frames for Mac's art to be displayed. There are four 8x10 frames on the wall but I have two more waiting for his next master pieces.

Since he seems to like coloring so much I decided to buy him a set of the markers that only mark on specific paper. I am not ready for him to have real colors and it will be a long time before he is let loose with real markers. I just got a chill thinking about that. eek!

He loves them! He has so much fun marking up those pages!

I love them because they ONLY mark on those pages and because I get to help color. I love coloring and almost bought myself the 64 pack of Crayola Crayons and a Sponge Bob coloring book but I didn't think that would be fair plus I'm pretty sure he would have broken my crayons... haha!

Yay for coloring!!
