Halloween MtP Trip: Part 1

Mac spent his first Halloween weekend in Mt. Pleasant visiting his Nana, Pops, Uncle Randall and the rest of the family!

We got into MtP around 2pm Friday afternoon and made a little visit up to Mom's classroom. The teachers just love Mac and don't get to see him much so it was a good quick visit. We left the school and headed to the house so we could sit somewhere other than the truck, relax and play with Sandy, the dog.

You know you're home when you see the pine trees!

Mac and Sandy playing in the grass. Mac is still not a huge fan of grass.

Mac and Jimmy hanging out.

Me and Mac! It's so rare that I get in the pictures, I shoved the camera at Jimmy and said "snap away!". I am actually in a few pictures from this weekend! Pretty excited about that!

Uncle Randall joined us after he got off work. He and Mac played before supper...

Entertaining your Uncle takes a lot out of you!

Mom got home and cooked chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, hominy and spinach for supper... soooo GOOD!! We were so full but Mac got his second wind and was ready to play with Nana.

During the attack...

Mac pinned Nana for the Win! haha

Pops got home and Mac got to play with him briefly but it was late and Mac was on his way to bed. They got to play more on Saturday because Pops didn't have to work as late.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of the trip...

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Mac and I went to the Tarrytown UMC pumpkin patch to take pictures. We met several of his daycare friends and their moms, took tons of pictures and had the best time.

Mac was not too sure of the pumpkins when we first got there. I sat him down by a big bumpy one and he was not a fan . I'm talking immediate tears! But after a while he warmed up to them, especially the little ones.

He liked the baby pumpkins best...

And decided to see what they tasted like...

Mac and Friends...

As usual when it comes time for the big group picture... Meltdowns Happen.

Despite the tired, upset babies we trudged on and put them into their halloween costumes!!

Charlie Brown (Eli), Ms. Lady Bug (Emma), Cute Cow (Isaac), and Skeleton Mac.

Jazmin as Pebbles

We bought three baby pumpkins to take home and Mac picked them out. He played with the smallest one until I decided it might be better to take it away for a while...

Weekly Weigh-In 20 (wk 16 for me)

I am linking up with Marvelous Mommy & My Little Apricot for my Weekly Weigh-In.

Start Weight (7/8): 206 lbs
Last Week: 184 lbs
This Week: 184 lbs

Goal Weight by Dec: 178 lbs
Goal Weight Overall: 165 lbs

Ok so no gain.. but no loss. That's ok. I will take it considering the amount of chips and dips I consumed last Friday and Saturday! :) I do think it's time for me to add a mile to my running. I was going to wait until the first week of November but I think next week is a good time to make the change. I will be out of town all next weekend so adding a mile for the two workouts I will get in next week will be good.

Wordless Wednesday

3 Years and He's Still The One

Jimmy and I have been married for 3 years today!! It seems like just yesterday and then again it seems like a million years ago, all in a good way of course. haha.

I can't imagine being married to anyone else. It's not rainbows and butterflies everyday but he is the only one I would want to weather the storms with. He is awesome, patient, and so loving. He is an amazing dad to Mac and that makes me love him even more.

Sunday Boat Ride and a Visitor from DC!

I few weeks ago I purchased two tickets to the LoneStar Riverboat Tour on Town Lake for only $10, that's half off! I thought it would be fun, something different to do and get us out of the house as a family! The day could not have been better. The weather and company were perfect!! The tour lasts an hour, they take you up and down the main portion of Town Lake, or Lady Bird Lake if you are comfortable with change. The captain gives you some Austin trivia, history, commentary in general.

The coolest piece of information that I learned was what Mopac stands for. For those of you not in Austin we have a large highway that runs around Austin called Mopac (Loop 1). It has to do with the railroads and where they ran in Austin, MO-Missouri, PAC- Pacific... Missouri Pacific Railroad!! MOPAC!!

We had a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend it.

And after we got home from our boat outting we looked forward to 6pm when our friend Michelle was coming over!! She was in for a long weekend and came over to the house for a visit and to play with Mac!! She brought us dinner from Central Market, delicious, so we got to eat and chat and have some grown up time and then she got to play with Mac until he went to bed. She even brought Mac a fun toy for the backyard! We really enjoyed Michelle's visit, we love it when she comes to town!! (and cross our fingers in hopes that one day she will have an Austin address again!!)
