Weekly Weigh-In 18 (wk 14 for me)

I am linking up with Marvelous Mommy & My Little Apricot for my Weekly Weigh-In.

Start Weight (7/8): 206 lbs
Last Week: 185 lbs
This Week: 195 lbs ???????

Goal Weight by Dec: 178 lbs
Goal Weight Overall: 165 lbs

UM?? Anyone? Thoughts?? I don't understand how it would be possible to gain 10 pounds in a week!!?? I didn't believe my scale so I went to the nurse at work and used his scale and it was the same!! My clothes are not fitting differently, I don't feel like I gained 10 freaking pounds!!?? I figured I would have gained between 2 and 4 pounds this week just because we had a house guest last weekend and we went out to eat twice, I had some drinks and just normal routine was different but 10 pounds!! 10 POUNDS!! Really? I am hoping that most of it is water weight from having to be a "girl" the last 5 days in combination with the eating out and drinks. All I know is I feel like I have had the wind knocked out of me. I am in complete denial. I will be running everyday this next week. I am so mad.


  1. Man, it has to be water weight from "being a girl" No way you could have put on 10 pounds in one week, not unless you totally went hog wild lol. Well, the bright side is that hopefully you will see a huge loss next week :)

  2. If you've been working out a lot, you might've gained muscle weight while still losing fat -- maybe you should check your BMI and inches around your waist and hips?

  3. I don't believe it. That is crazy! I just don't understand that. You should see a big loss next week.

  4. That is really strange. But I bet part of it is muscle. Cause you are toning up. And part of it is your good cooking and eating out. But dont be discouraged. Just stay the course. that is the advice you gave me. Arkansas

  5. I don't believe it! 10lbs is way too much to gain in a week. Did you eat before you weighed in or did you not use the bathroom? I always weigh in with an empty stomach and empty bladder. A lot of it is probably from being a girl. Or maybe your scale wasn't calibrated right last week???

    Don't get discouraged though. You'll get right back on the horse and be fine. :) I agree with Michelle, check your inches, too!

  6. Dont stress about it. I know we only weigh in once a week but I know for me it drastically changes daily. Like yesterday I weighed 136 and today it was 134.5 and I stepped on the scale later today and it was up to 138. So try not to stress too much about the gain. Its crazy but if its that time of the month its probably all water gain. So you will have it off and then some next week. :)
